CHANIA: PM Mitsotakis visited the 115th Fighter Wing and inspected fighter jets

The 115th Fighter Wing Base of the Air Force in Chania was visited by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The Greek Prime Minister inspected the F-16 fighter jets, including the recently upgraded VIPER’s, while at the same time being informed about the mission, organisation and readiness of the Combat Wing, the upgrading of the aircraft and the overall strengthening of the Armed Forces.

“It is an important upgrade for the Air Force, a very important program which, in combination with the other investments we have made, I think gives us a long-term confidence that we have strengthened our deterrent capability to such an extent that we do not feel a threat from no one,” Mitsotakis said.
