Eurobasket 2022 – “On to the next one”: Giannis Antetokounmpo’s message for the match against Germany

Ready for the next big Eurobasket 2022 game, Giannis Antetokounmpo made a rallying call for the Greek National Team which today will face Germany with the aim of qualifying for the Final 4 of the competition.

The message for qualification was sent by the star of the Greek National Team through a video he posted on Instagram of his appearance in the match against the Czech Republic.

The curtain for the round of 8 opens with the Spain-Finland match, while on Wednesday it is France-Italy and Slovenia-Poland.

Itoudis: These matches are do or die

“Germany is a very capable opponent. They have everything in their game. They play at home, has creators, has executioners, has size, plays at a very good pace, has enough isolations and one-on-one skills, and can adjust their defences. Undoubtedly it is a very difficult game. Germany is a team with a lot of automation and very good chemistry,” said Greek national team Dimitris Itoudis.

When asked if the management of pressure by the two teams will play a role, Dimitris Itoudis answered:

“Germany will have support, I don’t know if that will also mean pressure. We had great support from the Greeks yesterday, I think that tomorrow will be in greater numbers. Everyone is trying to claim something in a final like this, that’s the nature of these games, it’s do or die.”
