The measure of teleworking will be abolished and the service of public can reportedly take place but not exclusively, with a scheduled appointment.

Greece’s public administration is lifting the measure of teleworking for state employees and citizens will be able to access the public services again, even without previous appointment.

According to a circular issued by the Interior Ministry, public services will be fully operational with the personal presence of all the staff including employees belonging to high-risk groups as of May 2, 2022.

The measure of teleworking will be abolished and the service of public can reportedly take place but not exclusively, with a scheduled appointment.

Additionally, the circular stipulates that all public and private sector employees who are not fully vaccinated or have been ill with Covid-19 and who provide physical work inside or outside their service facilities are required to carry out a diagnostic test twice a week using the molecular test method ( PCR) or using the rapid detection of Covid – 19 coronavirus antigen (rapid test) in private diagnostic laboratories or in private clinics or in pharmacies or in a private doctor.

All tests are at the expense of the employees

Abolishing the teleworking is one more measure that is lifted beginning of May, next to scrapping the showing of Covid-Pass – vaccination or recovery certificates – to gain access to the indoor of venues like restaurants, bars and shops.
