Masks price hiked due to new measures
High protection masks prices has gone up 43% since last week

Masks price hiked in Greece due to government’s new measures.

Greek governement has made the high-protective mask or double mask mandatory for entry to supermarkets and public transport.

How much the prices have gone up

From an online market research conducted by euro2day.gr at skroutz.gr it was found that 10 pieces of Famex FFP2 Particle Filtering Half NR Midnight Blue Protection Mask, which until December 22 were sold for 2.1 euros, now the price has climbed to 3 euros (42.85% increase).

The package of 10 pieces of the Famex FFP2 NR Protection Mask for Lilac Children has increased by 10.09%, which are now sold for 2.40 euros from 2.18 euros. At 15.2 euros from 14 euros the FFP2 NR Face Mask KADI-100 White 25 pieces are now sold and at 3.45 euros from 2.9 euros the 10 pieces Welooo FFP2 BFE Protection Mask> 98% blue.

At bestprice.gr, the package of 10 pieces of Famex FFP2 NR Particle Filtering Half Mask Gray has increased by 35.9% to 2.99 euros from 2.20 euros while the package of 100 pieces of Mediroc FFP2 NR Protective Mask White the we found it at 91 euros from 65.9 euros we had found on December 22nd.

Minister of Growth and Investments, Adonis Georgiadis, said that at the beginning of the new year, new measures will be taken to limit the spread of COVID-19, which “will be mild” and added that there is no need to panic.

Referring to the hiked prices of masks, he reiterated that he would impose the largest fine allowed by law.
