Thanks to new digital platformcreated by the Ministry of Transport, all data on imports and initial registration of used vehicles (importation into Greece) will be stored electronically.
The unit will have a capacity of 840 MW and be built jointly by the Public Power Corporation (51%), DEPA Commercial (29%), and Kopelouzos Group (20%).
Furthermore, according to Green Tank data, LNG imports via Revythoussa increased by 54% compared to 2021, while in December they ranked first in total gas imports, with a 72% share.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Greece, traditionally a net energy importer, has become a net exporter of natural gas. In the last six months, its natural gas exports have more than tripled compared to 2021.
The first cargo to be unloaded was of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by the Mytilineos company.
Monthly data show that Greece was a net exporter of electricity in three months this year, including in the two consecutive months of July and August. At the same time, net electricity imports have fallen by almost half compared with a year earlier and are at their lowest levels since 2013.
