SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras began an address on Monday evening by expressing his condolences to families of earthquake victims in Türkiye and Syria, speaking at the 'Ivanofeios' sports arena in Thessaloniki.
On World Cancer Day, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis described a comprehensive plan against cancer based on three pillars - the screening program for breast, colon and cervical cancer, a framework for homecare for oncology patients, and "palliative care" for the first time in Greece.
Turkish media reports that Greece has gained superiority in the air, and for this reason, Turkey is currently in talks to receive up to 48 Eurofighters from the United Kingdom.
"We saw natural gas rates that were ten times higher than those we had two years ago. Consequently the international economy has to deal with a phenomenon that required measures at the level of central banks from all the advanced economies," Mitsotakis said.
Over the past few months, the two countries have been at loggerheads over a range of issues, including maritime territorial boundaries in the Aegean, occupied Cyprus, and military acquisitions.
“We will refer the issue to The Hague and it will decide,” he added.
