“Don Giovanni” is one of Mozart’s most popular operas, which was classified in his works as opera buffa, i.e. comic opera, but it also has tragic elements. The story concerns the love affairs of the promiscuous Spanish nobleman Don Giovanni and his adventures, which lead him to hell. When it was presented for the first time in 1787, it shocked the public and the art world, deeply influencing the philosophical and artistic understandings of the era and the eras that followed.
