ELSTAT: Greece’s trade balance with Russia is in a deficit of €1.04 billion

According to ELSTAT, in July this year the value of Greece's imports from Russia amounted to €1.0 billion, marking an increase of 200.4% compared to July 2021 which was €349.4 million.

Greece ‘s trade balance with Russia was in deficit by approximately €1.04 billion in July this year due to the increase in the value of imports by 200.4%, while on the contrary, the trade balance with Ukraine was in surplus by €46 million.

According to ELSTAT, in July this year the value of Greece’s imports from Russia amounted to €1.0 billion, marking an increase of 200.4% compared to July 2021 which was €349.4 million.

The value of Greece’s exports to Russia amounted to €9.6 million euros, marking a decrease of 42.6% compared to July 2021 which was €16.8 million euros.

In the seven-month period, the value of Greece’s imports from Russia amounted to €4,510.8 million, an increase of 127.9% compared to the January-July 2021 period of €1,979.5 million. T

he value of Greece’s exports to Russia amounted to €69.8 million, marking a decrease of 32.3% compared to the period January-July 2021 which was €103.2 million.

The trade balance between Greece and Russia was negative and amounted to €4,440.9 million (deficit).

Also in July, the value of Greece’s imports from Ukraine amounted to €8.1 million euros, a decrease of 47.7% compared to July 2021 which was €15.6 million.

The value of Greece’s exports to Ukraine amounted to €54.1 million, marking an increase of 49.1% compared to July 2021 which was €36.3 million. The trade balance between Greece and Ukraine was positive and amounted to €46.0 million euros (surplus).

In the seven-month period, the value of Greece’s imports from Ukraine amounted to €82.6 million, marking a 19.9% ​​decrease compared to the January-July 2021 period of €103.1 million.

The value of Greece’s exports to Ukraine amounted to €184.7 million, marking an increase of 34% compared to the period January-July 2021 which was €137.8 million. The trade balance between Greece and Ukraine was positive and amounted to €102.1 million euros (surplus).
