The US special presidential envoy for climate, John Kerry, will visit Athens early next week in order to meet with Greek leadership.
According to a statement by the State Department, Kerry’s talks are expected to focus on efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the maritime transport sector, as well as preparations for the “Our Ocean Conference”, which will be hosted in Greece.
Kerry will continue with a visit to Indonesia, where he will participate in a G20 environment and climate ministerial meeting.
