The Acropolis Museum in central Athens, located just across the southern slope of the Acropolis archaeological site, will remain open into the evening on Aug. 12 to commemorate the month’s full moon, in line with an annual tradition in the east Mediterranean country of keeping various sites and museums open up until midnight for the occasion.
The Hellenic Air Force’s permanent band will perform at the museum on the specific evening.
Entrance is free after 9 p.m. and until the museum closes at midnight, with all the affiliated facilities, including the museum’s terrace restaurant also open.
