Stefanos Tsitsipas had his first win on grass since 2019, dispatching Swiss qualifier Dominic Stricker 6-3, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals at the BOSS OPEN in Stuttgart on Thursday.
Murray will now take on Tsitsipas in his first quarter-final at ATP level since he reached the final in Sydney in January.
Playing on a wild card, Tsitsipas managed only four aces against nine for World No.200 Stricker, but broke the 19-year-old twice.
“My game is built for grass courts, I can 100 per cent have good results on this surface,” Tsitsipas said.
“But it might take a bit of time. I want to get the most out of my game and push it to the limit.”
