An event entitled “The Ionian islands, champions in sustainable tourism, culture, originality and luxury” will be held on Wednesday afternoon in Dubai in the context of the Ionian islands’ participation in the international exhibition EXPO DUBAI 2020.
A gastronomic dinner with tastes from the Ionian islands will follow.
The international exhibition, originally planned for 2020, was postponed due to the pandemic. The Ionian Islands Region’s participation is supported by Fraport, the Ionian University and the major hotel groups of the islands.
Special meetings with airlines and tour operators will be held in the next two days.
“For the first time the region is taking part in an international exhibition and for the first time, a region, public and private agencies are joining forces for its promotion and development,” the regional governor of the Ionian islands Rodi Kratsa underlined.
